Well we finally got down the Christmas Tree and other Christmas decor today and packed it all up in boxes, ready to heap them up on the loft until we need them again. It was sad to put it all away but it felt nice that there is a new beginning now. Don't know any other way to describe it. Still I look forward to moving to the next Christmas, and relishing every moment along the way:-)
Yesterday was a very eventful day. My aunt came to visit us with her 7 year old daughter. It was really nice having them over after so long. My aunt helped mum make a feast in the kitchen and the both of them gossiped away to glory about everything from the Lokpal Bill to why so-and-so's daughter wasn't recieving any proposals. My cousin sister brought me a Christmas gift which was bad because I hadn't got her anything. I had to make do with a clumsily packed bunch of pretty cute hairbands that I went and picked up from Westside while buying some drinks for lunch. Which was pretty sucky because she got me a portable Monopoly set!! Talk about a cool present :-D Anyway I spent alot of time playing with her and it was alot of fun! Next year I'm definitely getting her something better.
After she left I took a quick snooze and when I woke up I had gotten about a dozen texts telling me that beach football was back on. I almost jumped in delight LOL. It was alot of fun playing football after so long and overall so therepautic! :-) It didnt take me long to get an adrenaline rush and pretty soon I was all over the place sliding into tackles with reckless abandon. Just amazing! I won every ball, made some crazy runs, took on some spectaculars and hustled all over. It was like nothing could in wrong. However I picked up a nasty bruise on my left knee and didnt realize it until much later when I got home. Its pretty ugly, even now. On my way home I met Jason who allowed me to ride his bike. We took the bike all the way to Verna and back and stopped for some cutlet pav and some Falooda. It was the perfect cap to a delightful day. Life is so amazing when we learn to break it down to events we can treasure.
Just wanted to put down this thought I had earlier in the day. I realized friends are like Christmas lights, they may not be there the entire year but at that moment when you want/need them they light up our life and make it owh so magical. Cheerio :)
